This is a delightful new venue which you will love. Aysgarth School was established as a boys' boarding Prep School in 1877. It stands on a beautiful 50 acre site close to the village of Newton-le-Willows, about three miles from Bedale.

The surrounding countryside is spectacular, forming part of the Yorkshire Dales. There are many attractions and lovely places to appreciate its beauty especially if you are a dedicated walker or keen cyclist! The cities of York and Durham are within reasonable travelling distance and the historic towns of Richmond and Ripon are nearby. There are many old castles and ruined sites - Fountains Abbey and Studley Water Garden (now a World Heritage Site).
The Aysgarth Falls are a wonder to see and clamber around and the 85 acres of the Thorp Perrow Arboretum offer woodland trails, picnic places and children's play areas. Families can enjoy the Lightwater Valley Theme Park, or Big Sheep Little Cow Farm, or for the more daring, there is Aerial Extreme (an adventure ropes course). Tearooms also abound where you can sample Yorkshire baking at its best.
(Leaflets and ideas will be provided).

On site there is plenty to do. There are four all-weather tennis courts and a number of separate playing fields which we hope to use for games and activities. You can play boules, croquet or you can easily find a peaceful corner within the grounds to unwind or read that special book.
Inside there's a large sports hall with a stage and a modern indoor heated swimming pool. Meals will be served by the School's catering team in the light and airy dining room. There is also a magnificent chapel, a panelled library, and a number of common rooms (good for indoor games).

In the evenings there is time for fellowship and worship together as well as a late evening unwind. The holiday is a special opportunity to be in the company of like-minded people and to enjoy both the space and facilities the School provides in beautiful surroundings.
